Animal Fun

My parents got Ethan and me an Indianapolis Zoo membership for Christmas...I think I've said this already, but it was probably the best thing I received. I mean, a whole year of cool stuff to do, pretty much free for me. I have to pay for the food, which is pretty expensive, and the train ride, but $20 for the both of us as opposed to about $50 without it, isn't too bad. We've been twice in 2 weeks. It's pretty cool. I think once the summer comes around, when there's more stuff going on, it'll be a little more fun than it already is. And I've been researching other zoos so that Ethan and I can go to at least one of them this summer. I'm really leaning towards the Cincy Zoo (www.cincyzoo.org) because it's the closest of them all. And I used to go there when I was a kid and I want to go back. Check out the map to this place!!!It just looks like the coolest place in the world!! Okay, maybe not, but still, it looks super fun. And with my Indy membership I get 50% off admission for each of us. Or I could get what they call the Grand Safari Pass and pay a little extra and get unlimited rides on the train, tram, and carousel. Really, how much more awesome could it get? Let me tell you...how about $10 for an all day pass???? Yep, $10. But that's at the St. Louis Zoo, more like a weekend trip (www.stlzoo.org). (I'd post a zoo map but it won't let me.)
And then there's the Louisville Zoo. (www.louisvillezoo.org) (again, I'd post a map, but I couldn't find one.)

PLUS when Ethan and I go to MI for our summer vacation, I plan on going to Meijer Gardens...wonder if there's a Zoo nearby we can visit? Em, help me out, I know you live there.

So so so many Zoo's from which to choose in the Midwest and I can't wait to visit them all!!!

ALISON!!!! ;) Glad you asked. Yup, the John Ball Zoo. I took Skylar there last month while she was visiting (have you seen my blog?). It is fun and super cheap. You can check them out at

It's a pretty small zoo compared to Indy, but for the price, and good weather, it's fun. Plus they just opened a brand new Lion exhibit (I guess they re-did the lion's area). It looked pretty cool, but we were there before it opened. I know you have family up here, but you're welcome to stay with us!!! :) I hope you can make it!

Sorry, I've only been to one zoo that I can remember and that's the Indy zoo. However, that one zoo with the map, that looks fun. I'm sure whatever zoo you and Ethan go, and even if it's just here in Indy you'll have a grand time, especially one summer comes around. Talk to you soon!!!
